On December 14th, the Ningbo University Health Science Center successfully hosted the medical section of the Ningbo University Forum for Young Scholars at Home and Abroad. The forum gathered young scholars from countries and regions including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong (China), along with relevant officials from the University's Party Committee Talent Office, the Science and Technology Department, leadership members of the Health Science Center, representative professors, and principal leaders of affiliated hospitals. More than seventy teachers, scholars, doctors, and graduate students participated in the event. The aim of this forum was to publicize the talent introduction strategy for high-level professionals of the Ningbo University Health Science Center and to explore the latest research advancements in the field of medicine. The forum was presideded over by Xu Jin, Deputy Director of the Health Science Center.

Liu Yu, Executive Director of the Ningbo University Health Science Center, delivered a warm opening speech. She extended a warm welcome to the young scholars who had traveled far to attend. She stated, "This forum is not only a platform for academic exchange but also a stage to showcase the achievements in talent recruitment and scientific research capabilities of the Ningbo University Health Science Center. We hope such activities will attract more outstanding young scholars from home and abroad to join us and jointly promote the in-depth development of medical research." Following this, Liu Yu provided a detailed introduction to the current development status and future plans of the Health Science Center, showcasing its ambition and strength in the fields of medical education and scientific research. She reiterated the importance the Health Science Center places on the recruitment of high-level talents.

Subsequently, Xie Binglei, Deputy Director of the Party Committee Talent Office of Ningbo University, presented the Bo Le Award to Associate Professor Wang Geng, recognizing his contributions to recommending and assisting in the recruitment of high-level medical talents.

The core part of the forum was the academic reports by young scholars. Dr. Liu Weiwei from the Cleveland Institute in the United States first shared his research on "Role and Mechanism of Innate Immune pathways in Inflammatory Diseases," delving into the role and mechanisms of innate immune pathways in inflammatory diseases. Following him, Dr. Wang Renying from Zhejiang University introduced the latest advances in single-cell technology, while Dr. Fei Panyu from Oxford University shared quantitative TCR signal studies and their application in cellular immunotherapy. Dr. Xiao Fuhui, a newly recruited leading talent of the Health Science Center focused on the molecular mechanisms of human health aging, delivering an exciting report on human longevity factors.




After the forum, attendees took a commemorative photo together. At noon, all young scholars visited the main base building of the Health Science Center and the main campus of Ningbo University, deepening their understanding and recognition of Ningbo University and the Health Science Center.

The medical section of the Ningbo University Forum for Young Scholars at Home and Abroad was not only an academic feast but also a vivid practice in the recruitment of medical talents to universities. By hosting this forum, not only did we provide a platform for young scholars to showcase themselves, but it also injected new vitality into the development of the Health Science Center itself. The successful holding of this forum reflects the efforts and determination of the Health Science Center in recruiting and training high-level talents. As global medical research continues to advance, Ningbo University Health Science Center will continue to attract more medical talents from home and abroad and actively promote the Ningbo city "Medical Peak" plan.
