In order to further strengthen the construction of postgraduate supervisors and improve the supervisors' ability to perform their duties and comprehensive quality, the Department of Medicine held the 2024 Postgraduate Supervisors Training Meeting on November 7th. The training session was hosted by Ye Meng, deputy director of the Department of Medicine, and more than 270 graduate student tutors attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Prof. Zhao Zheng, senior postgraduate tutor of Wenzhou Medical University, head of the Party Branch Secretary Workshop for Teachers of National Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, and high-level scientific and technological innovation talent of Zhejiang Province, was invited to give a lecture titled “Cultivate a Big Tree from the Roots”. The lecture was based on in-depth research of postgraduate students, deeply analyzed the characteristics and needs of postgraduates at different stages of study, emphasized the importance of tutors teaching students according to their aptitude and cultivating morality, and put forward the theory of “four guides” that tutors should guide students to strengthen theoretical foundations, guide students to straighten out scientific research ideas, channel students' negative emotions, and advocate students to establish a sense of patriotism.
