Hospital Introduction:
Yuyao People's Hospital, also known as Yuyao Yangming Hospital, was founded in 1947 by Mr. Song Hanzhang, a prominent financier from Yuyao who lived in Shanghai, with the support of fellow townspeople. It is a comprehensive Grade 3 Class B hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, and education. In 1985, it was awarded the title of Civilized Hospital by the Provincial Health Department. In 2001, it was recognized as a Grade 3 Class B hospital by the Provincial Health Department. In 2004, it was designated as an affiliated hospital of Ningbo University School of Medicine. In March 2016, it passed the JCI (Joint Commission International) certification. In August 2021, it became a branch of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. In December 2024, it became an affiliated hospital of Ningbo University Yangming Hospital.
The hospital is located in the historical and cultural city of Yuyao, Zhejiang, known as the "Land of Literature" and "Famous City in the Southeast." The hospital's Chengdong Campus covers an area of 280 mu with a construction area of 163,000 square meters; the Rehabilitation Campus (Yuyao Rehabilitation Hospital) covers an area of 15 mu with a construction area of 15,000 square meters. The hospital currently employs over 2,300 staff members, including more than 1,200 senior and intermediate professional technicians and 218 holders of master's and doctoral degrees. Specialty Medical Services:
The hospital adheres to the path of "quality-based establishment and technology-driven strength," and has developed a large number of specialty departments in recent years, including obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, respiratory medicine, urology, oncology, neurology, critical care medicine, pediatrics, otolaryngology, dentistry, nursing, and radiology, with 18 provincial, city, and county-level key disciplines. Gynecology has become a key discipline supported by Ningbo's medical and health system, and obstetrics and gynecology is the first batch of county-level medical leading disciplines in Zhejiang Province.
