From November 11th to 13th, the Ningbo University Health Science Center dispatched a delegation of 20 undergraduate students from majors such as Clinical Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dental Medicine to participate in the "Global Medical Excellence Alliance: Future Leaders Summit on Transnational Education Initiatives" hosted by The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The summit brought together top scholars and young talents from around the world to engage in in-depth discussions and exchanges on themes such as "Global Health" and "Medical Innovation."
The Ningbo University medical student delegation demonstrated the professional spirit of "broad learning and benevolence" at the summit, actively participating in group discussions on various topics including entrepreneurship, climate medicine, sustainable healthcare, and the application of artificial intelligence in medicine. They also presented a poster on the theme of integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine for obesity treatment, which attracted attention and praise from the attending experts.
This summit provided the 20 medical students from Ningbo University with an opportunity to broaden their horizons and showcase the demeanor and strengths of Ningbo University students to the world. Through team-building activities and site visits, the students engaged deeply with peers from around the globe, enhancing cross-cultural understanding and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
The Ningbo University Health Science Center has rich experience and significant achievements in international cooperation and exchanges. The center has established friendly cooperative relationships with several internationally renowned universities, including joint doctoral programs in clinical medicine with the University of Burgundy-Franche-Comté and clinical faculty training collaborations with the University of Sydney and the University of Adelaide. These partnerships have not only enhanced the international influence of the Ningbo University Health Science Center but have also provided valuable learning and exchange opportunities for its faculty and students.
